Introduction :- India is a land of festivals, here many religious festivals are celebrated . Among them, I like Deepawali the most. It is also called a festival of lights and is celebrated throughout the country.
Time of Celebration :- Deepawali is celebrated in the month of Kartik ( generally in October or November ). according to Hindu calendar on the night of Amavasya.
Legends Behind It :- It believed that on this day Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya with Sita and Laxman after 14 years of exile. So, people welcome them by lighting diyas.
How Diwali is Celebrated :- Deepawali is celebrated with great preparations. Houses are cleaned and decorated. People wear new clothes and prepare sweets and snacks either at home or buy from market. On the Deepawali night, people worship Goddess Laxmi and God Ganesh and the whole house gets illuminated by lighting diyas and candles. Darkness is removed through lighting of diyas and lights. Children burst fire crackers.

I lit the candles and burst fire crackers too.
