Its name , site and geography :- I live at Baraut. It is a big town of district Baghpat. It is situated on Delhi – Saharanpur road. It is only about fifty – five kilometres from Delhi. It is a model town.
Its population :- Baraut is a thickly populated town. There live more than one lakh people in it. It is mainly a Jain dominated town. Besides Jains there are Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs in it.
Main occupation of its people :- The main occupation of its inhabitants is business. There is no big mill. But there are a few factories which manufacture wheels and axles for bogies. There are three mandis where manufactured goods are sold and purchased.
Schools, colleges, buildings and hospitals, etc. :- Baraut is a centre of higher education. It has two post – graduate colleges and four intermediate colleges. There is a Government Girls High School as well. There are several hospitals and a government dispensary too.
Reasons why I love this town :- My town is neat and clean. The people of my town are very gentle. We have all the facilities here. So I like it very much.

Introduction :- A village is a quiet place away from the noise and pollution of city life. The name of my village is Kaleshwar which lies in Lalitpur district. It is one of the hilly villages that have purity of nature all around.
Population and People of that Village :- About 5000 people live in our village. The people are from Hindu and Muslim religion. Almost all the people are engaged in agricultural activities.
Educational and Other Facilities:- There are many educated people in our village. There is a secondary school, health centre, police check post and a post – office in the village. The village has a panchayat – ghar where villagers discuss their problems and know about the government schemes for villages. The village is electrified and people enjoy watching TV or listening to music. The roads are cemented all over.
Main Source of Livelihood :- People of my village live peacefully and help one another in difficulties. Most of the villagers are farmers, but some are engaged in some other professions also. Women do all the household work and also help their husbands in the fields.
Conclusion :- My village is worth living as it has facilities as well as naturally clean environment. I like it very much.
